Chiefs Struggle, But Beat Giants 20-17

Despite a series of self-inflicted blows, the Chiefs got back to .500 on Monday night with a 20-17 win over the Giants at Arrowhead Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes was 29 for 48 for 275 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The interception was his league-leading 10th, and he would have thrown another if not for an offside penalty against the Giants that nullified it.

Tyreek Hill had 12 catches for 94 yards and a touchdown, while Travis Kelce was targeted just seven times and had just 27 receiving yards to go with a costly fumble.

The Chiefs (4-4) came out with the win even though they were just 5 of 12 on third down, averaged just 4.8 yards per play and, most notably, were penalized 12 times for 103 yards.

New York QB Daniel Jones completed 22 of 32 passes for 222 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. The Giants dealt with numerous injuries to skill position players before and during the game, but Jones still targeted nine different receivers.

The Giants (2-6) managed just 300 yards of total offense and had just 18 first downs, including five by penalty.
